If you are a parent of a toddler, you will most likely have come across one of these clocks or heard about them talked about at parents meetings or between parents. And like us, you normally start talking about these wonderful little clocks when your morning sleep starts to be disturbed at an ungodly hour of the morning.
The Gro Clock by the GroCompany is a sleep training clock designed for toddlers. It has two different clock faces, one to show it is still sleep time and the other to show that it is ok to wake up.
Now believe me, we heard of these clocks months and months ago, and at the time completely dismissed them - mainly due to the fact that we had no complaints about how our toddler was sleeping. However, that was all set to change!
What Changed?

We are always on the lookout for fun family games. After all, at any family gathering, playing games in the living room is quite often a highlight. From personal experience, games most often come out over the Christmas holidays as it is a great way to get everyone together in one room - normally around the fire!
Depending on the size of the group, this will very much depend on what type of game that you are going to want to play. Some board games in a large family setting might not be overly practical. However, playing a game of charades will most certainly tick the box.
Personally, I do love a great game of charades, it always brings quite a bit of comedy (and humility to our...
There is a certain magic about watching a Christmas family movie. It's a time when everyone sits down, with some popcorn and enjoys some time together. And what's more, there is always a magic about a good Christmas movie to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.
And whilst there are hundreds of Christmas movies that you can watch, we have chosen the good old traditional family ones as our picks for the festive season. It is now easier than ever to watch Christmas movies as most of the streaming platforms such as Amazon and Netflix will have a raft of them available to sit down and watch with the family.
So make sure you get some popcorn, get cosy on the sofa and enjoy a great...

The season of Halloween is upon us and no doubt we are all going to be busy carving pumpkins and enjoying the October holidays from school. However, with the weather turning a little colder, it is a great time to watch some family movies for halloween.
Let's be honest, some of these movies are classics and will be around for decades to come. My all time favourite has to be E.T and despite it being made in 1982, it is still a great family movie.
So go grab the popcorn, make some hot chocolate, put your feet up and enjoy a great movie.
*Where possible, we have tried to link these with video linked to Amazon Prime. However, not all were available.

Autumn is an amazing time of year and it will be gone before you know it! With the October holidays just around the corner, it really is a great time to be making some family memories and do some fun activities with the kids.
In the UK, we are either going to have a lovely October break with dry, mild, sunny days or it is going to be a complete washout - you just never know. We've picked out a number of different activities that you can do come rain or shine.
Also, don't forget to capture all the moments on your camera as Christmas is just around the corner and they make for picture perfect family Christmas cards!

Hello!
I don't normally write posts like this but, as a new blogger, I am starting to feel the need. There is an ever growing need to spend more time each day on the blog whilst there is a homelife that needs to be run as well. Sometimes, this has been quite overwhelming and normally results in staying awake for more hours than I should do. So I started to think about some simple ways to save time each day.
Something had to change! I had thought for some time that perhaps, as a family, we were not quite as 'efficient' as we should be and a lot of time was wasted doing things that could be done with a little more ease. At the end...
Every now and again a low cost family weekend is just what is needed to give the bank a rest. However, there are many more benefits to a low cost family weekend than just the money - it actually ends up being quality time spent as a family. I guess in part, this contributes somewhat to a minimalist lifestyle that is often talked about on a number of blogs that I read these days. I'm going to explore this further over the coming months as it is something that I am keen to attempt to put into our lifestyle too.
However, the purpose here, for now anyway, is to look at ways that you can have a low cost family weekend (despite travel costs -...
